His expertise was garnered during his tenure at Kforce Inc., a publicly traded global multi-national corporation where he spearheaded a sales and marketing effort focused on the Fortune 500, expanding both services and net sales, resulting in his status as #1 producer for consecutive years. He then joined Savant Consulting Group as Senior Vice President, tripling the company's revenues and ultimately engineering a multi-million dollar sale of the company, from a list of bidders, to a private equity fund. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Spark Consulting, LLC., an Information Technology consulting firm that specializes in staffing and outsourcing to Fortune 500 institutional clients. Scott Richards, Chief Operating Officer, has 27 years of health care experience. He has worked in nearly every segment of the health care sector. Most of his career has involved helping health care stakeholders successfully identify and implement solutions that blend technologies and processes to enhance business operations and patient care capabilities. Scott incubated ExpressCare while he was the Chief Transformation Officer and CIO of a diversified, multi-entity health care provider and services organization that includes Specialty Physician, Urgent Care, and Primary Care practices; a Management Services Organization; a Billing Company; a Medical Malpractice company; and a not-for-profit Research Foundation. In March, 2007, Scott helped to organize the spin-off of ExpressCare to Spark. ExpressCare went from concept to operational in its first site in less than 18 months. Scott previously served as an Associate CIO for the University of Alabama-Birmingham Health System where he was also an adjunct professor in their Health Care Informatics graduate program; he co-founded a health care informatics consulting firm; and was the Director of Operations for a health care information systems company. In 1994, Scott was one of the founding members of the HealthCare Open Systems and Trials consortium (HOST). HOST was instrumental in helping the National Institute of Standards & Technology launch its Advance Technology Program for health care informatics.
