ExpressCare is a consumer-focused health care
services provider located in large retail settings. ExpressCare
will bring the benefits of consumerism and retail shopping
to health care by ensuring that consumers receive quality,
convenience, and exceptional value for each health care dollar
spent.
ExpressCare is staffed by experienced, licensed
Nurse Practitioners. Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses
who have completed a Masters Degree in Nursing as well as
extensive advanced clinical training. Additionally, Nurse
Practitioners are board certified by at least one nationally
recognized certifying body. They are licensed by a state to
function independently or collaboratively with other health
care professionals. They are licensed to perform physical
exams, prescribe medications, and do medical screenings. It
is common for Nurse Practitioners to treat patients in other
health care settings (i.e., doctors' offices, emergency departments)
without a physician’s participation.
ExpressCare uses an established set of advanced,
evidence-based clinical pathways to evaluate, diagnose, and
treat common ailments. Each Nurse Practitioner will have access
to "on-call" physicians and all patients who present
with conditions ExpressCare does not treat. Those who exhibit
complex or dangerous conditions, will be immediately referred
to the appropriate health care provider, or directed to the
closest emergency department.
Services are provided in 15 minutes or less,
not including screenings the patient may also elect to have
performed. ExpressCare will be open early morning hours, extended
evening hours on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays. All
services will be clearly posted and priced so consumers can
easily understand their cost for each treatment and screening
service. Additionally, to meet the growing demand for personalized
health care, ExpressCare will be working with its partners
to offer a variety of "healthy lifestyle" screenings
and services.
ExpressCare is also leveraging its position
with other health care stakeholders (i.e., pharmaceutical
companies, DME providers, local hospitals, health systems,
and health care organizations) to create additional revenue
streams from co-branding; advertising; promotions; and product
sales.
The retail venue ExpressCare is targeting
has more than 4,000 cash register transactions a day, which
when extrapolated means more than 5,000 people will walk past
each ExpressCare center every day. In addition to establishing
a comfort level with the consumer, the exterior and interior
of ExpressCare facilities provide our partners focused promotional
mediums for print and multimedia formats.
